Chicago, Illinois, March 7, 2013 - Association Laboratory released its annual association environmental scanning paper, "Looking Forward 2013," a collaborative effort conducted with leaders of the association management profession.
Looking Forward 2013is produced as a service for the association community; it is available through the Association Laboratory website: www.associationlaboratory.com.
This document is an overview of the environmental forces affecting the association industry and the implications on association strategy. This year, 28 CEOs and 26 senior association executives from a variety of business domains, representing 53 different professions and industries, participated.
"In an ever-changing landscape, associations need to be aware of the forces affecting their short- and long-term decisions," said Dean West, President, Association Laboratory. "Our recommendation is that association leaders use this study to review the issues and to assess their relevance and impact on individual associations. This is a tool for association Boards and staff to use to identify unique issues, and the impact of the identified environmental factors on their specific strategic goals, strategies, and association operations."
