Dean West, FASAE, President, Association Laboratory, will present on the company's annual association environmental scanning paper, "Looking Forward 2014", at the 2014 ASAE Fellows Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
The Looking Forward Series is an annual environmental scan of the association business environment conducted by Association Laboratory. This year features the introduction of a quantitative analysis of the association business environment based on a survey of 195 trade and professional association chief staff officers. Participants identified the trends of most concern across a range of topics from the perspective of their association's members including:
"In an ever-changing landscape, associations need to be aware of the forces affecting their short- and long-term decisions," said Dean West, FASAE, President & Founder, Association Laboratory. "Our recommendation is that association leaders use this study to review the issues and to assess their relevance and impact on individual associations. This is a tool for association Boards and staff to use to identify unique issues, and the impact of the identified environmental factors on their specific strategic goals, strategies, and association operations."
Looking Forward 2014 is produced as a service for the association community and is available through the Association Laboratory website.
