Association Laboratory presents at ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition August 11
Dean West, FASAE, President, Association Laboratory, will present the topic, "Looking Forward 2014: Association CEO Environmental Scan Results," with Carla Balakgie, CAE, FASAE, President & CEO, National Automatic Merchandising Association, and Gary LaBranche, CAE, FASAE, President & CEO, Association for Corporate Growth, at the ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition on August 11, 2014, in Nashville, TN.
The panel will present findings from the company's annual association environmental scanning research report, "Looking Forward 2014: An Environmental Scanning Whitepaper for the Association Industry."
The Looking Forward Series is an annual environmental scan of the association business environment conducted by Association Laboratory. This year featured the introduction of a quantitative analysis of the association business environment based on a survey of 195 trade and professional association chief staff officers. The study identifies the business environmental factors anticipated to have the greatest impact on association members and the likely implications on association business strategy.

Dean West is a nationally recognized expert in association research and strategy. An ASAE Fellow, he authored the chapter on Membership Research for the ASAE book, Membership Essentials and the chapter on Marketing Professional Development Programs in the ASAE book, Core Competencies in Professional Development. Mr. West is a Past Chairman of ASAE's Professional Development Council and has served on the ASAE Membership Council; he also served on the Board of Directors for the Association Forum of Chicagoland.
