Association Laboratory to Present at 2013 ASCO State/Regional Affiliate Leadership Conference
Chicago, Illinois, October 2, 2013 - Cecilia Sepp, Vice President & Client Operations Officer, Association Laboratory, will present a session titled, "Associations 101: 5 Musts of Small Staff Associations" at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) annual leadership conference for state and regional affiliates. The conference is scheduled for Friday, October 18, at the ASCO headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
The presentation was uniquely designed for solo or small staff affiliates, and will emphasize the importance of strong business and management practices for associations of any size. Areas of discussion will include strategic planning, business planning, financial controls, legal compliance, and insurance needs.
Ms. Sepp is a nationally recognized expert in association management. She contributes to the profession as a frequent author and speaker through the ASAE Annual Meeting, Great Ideas Conference, Membership, Marketing, and Communication Conference, and ASAE publications. She recently authored the chapter on Components & Strategy for the ASAE Component Relations Handbook. She was a member of the professional faculty of ASAE University for six years (2006-2012), leading online courses on component relations, supervisory management, marketing, and leadership. She has been recognized for her service by both ASAE and American Independent Writers (AIW). She has served as Chair of the ASAE Communication Section Council, she currently serves on the ASAE Component Relations Council, and on the Content Creation Committee for Association Media & Publishing.
